DDA Reasonable Adjustments

Reasonable Adjustment is a legal term introduced under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, but it is not complicated!  An adjustment is a change:

• To equipment used - like providing a more supportive chair
• To policies in force - like allowing Assistance Dogs as an exception to a "no dogs" rule
• To buildings - like installing a visual signal with a fire alarm
• To procedures - like informing people material is available in large print
